UNBELIEVABLE ! FLOOD TURNS PTI STUDENTS TO FISHERMEN (PHOTOS)

NA WA OH..Its no news that the heavy rainfall of 2016 which was predicted by Nigeria Meteorological society came to pass....The heavy downpour really caused flood like never before in Nigeria and its constituent states.

Delta state happen to be at the very receiving end, as it is known to be as one of the regions  that makes up the Delta(states below sea level). The flood was experienced in all nooks and cranny of the state including the PETROLEUM TRAINING INSTITUTE Effurun...

This incident initially had a negative effect on the students of the institute but the tides turn when the students started catching fishes from every where around the flood areas especially the drainage side of the female hostel and the football field behind the male hostel, this shocking event turned every male student and even the female students to fishermen and women lolz...........

But the big question is WHERE DID THE FISHES COME FROM?...... DID THEY FALL FROM THE SKIES LIKE IT WAS IN THE BIBLE WITH MOSES WHEN MANNER CAME DOWN? SO MANY UNEXPLAINABLE QUESTIONS......But the fact still remains that the students are happy with the development cause it has found a way to curb the immediate problem of eating only garri and groundnut or Cassava flakes and berries as the ladies would call it.....LOL

PTI GIST  spoke with some of the students from the Kokori hostel who said ''we don officially change the name of our school to Petroleum Fishing Institute''  Others from the female hostels said ''they dont bother to buy fishes again all they just need to do is wait for rain to fall and fish is at their doorstep''.......lol

NEW PRINCIPAL AGAIN ?

The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, in line with the Petroleum Institute Act of 1972, has approved the appointment of Prof. Sunny Esayegbemu Iyuke as the Principal/Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, Delta State. PTI is an institution established to provide instruction, training and research in petroleum technology and produce Technicians and other skilled personnel for the petroleum industry. Mr Sunny Iyuke a renowned South African based professor of Chemical and Process Engineering, as new principal and Chief Executive Officer of Petroleum Training Institution, Effurun.

Prior to this appointment, he was the Head of School of Chemical & Metallurgical Engineering of the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. OBOY! PTI don get professor.....

He has produced several patents in nanotechnology locally and internationally including World Intellectual Property Organization of International Bureau.
Prof. Sunny Iyuke is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and a Chartered Engineer with UK Engineering Council, London. He is also the vice president of Council of the South African Institution of Chemical Engineers. He is one of the top nanotechnologists in South Africa. wow Buhari really picked this one oh....SAI BABA!

This wonderful son of the soil Who is a typical Urhobo man take Interests in the production of carbon nanomaterials for various applications such as proton exchange membrane fuel cell components, microbrewery, biomedical devices, water treatment and purification, petroleum refining and energy storage. He is National Research Foundation (NRF) rated scientist, registered professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), charted engineer with the Engineering Council, UK, Fellow of South African Academy of Engineering (FSAAE) amongst others. He is a council member of the South African Institution of Chemical Engineers.
Prof Iyuke has over 160 publications, book chapters and conference proceedings.
Like we stated earlier He has produced several patents in nanotechnology locally and internationally including World Intellectual Property Organization of International Bureau. At Wits and other parts of the world he has graduated several masters and PhD (blacks, coloured, Indian and white) students.

From 2008 to 2010 WE REALLY HOPE HE CAN HANDLE STUDENTS FROM THE OIL REPUBLIC.

He has secured more than R3.7 million worth grant for his research from both National Research Foundation (NRF) and Industries HMMMM ABEG MAKE E STILL SECURE GRANT TO TAKE IMPROVE THE LIFE OF STUDENTS IN THE OIL REPUBLIC....

He collaborates in research with NASA, USA, Vaal University of Technology (VUT), Schools of Chemistry and Pharmacy at Wits, Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Pretoria, and Institute of Fuel of the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Malaysia.

2017 KICK-OFF

Hello PTIites ...The crew PTIGIST wishes every Student a happy New ear and also using this medium to welcome back to school both New and Old Students... We assumed you had a fun filled Xmas and New year celebration...If you didn't .....No problem! thats just makes you like us  Cause we didn't even leave this Arena just to keep you informed Guess you know how special you are to us....

As part of our commitment to the students of the Oil Republic we really appreciate the support you gave to us for the year 2016 and we really hope we can do it again, far better than we did it before.
We have increased our Man capacity that means you will be getting more and more GIST and more APROKO ...lol.

 As times goes by we hope to update you on various incidents and events that transpired here in school just before the holidays, during the holidays and immediately after the resumption......All this we are going to unveils accordingly and with the right facts and evidences to uncover the secrets happening on campus.....
